Our Commitment

Haus Lounge is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve these goals.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Haus Lounge aims to be conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Our website has been designed and developed in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. As of our most recent audit, the following accessibility features have been implemented:

  • Keyboard navigation with arrow-key support for menu category filters
  • Screen reader compatibility with ARIA labels and live regions
  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
  • Accessible forms with visible labels and required field indicators
  • Focus management in modal dialogs (focus moves to primary action on open)
  • Alt text on all meaningful images, including event dates and Korean names
  • Reduced motion support for animations via prefers-reduced-motion
  • Skip navigation link for keyboard users
  • Korean language attribute (lang="ko") on Korean text

Known Limitations

We are actively working to address the following known limitations:

  • Some focus indicators may have reduced visibility in certain browser/OS combinations
  • The smooth-scroll library (Lenis) may interact with some assistive technology keyboard shortcuts
